I was recently invited by Hire an Illustrator and The Little Chimp Society to create a piece of work for an exhibition in London based on the works of Jules Verne.
I have always loved the stories of Jules Verne, the adventures and (then) ground breaking ideas in science and science fiction. These stories were brought to me mainly through the 50s and 60s movies where the excitement of the worlds Verne created spurred on my imagination, and along with the fantastic posters that accompanied the films, influenced my art. This piece is dedicated to the crazy professors, megalomaniacs and overly curious eccentric adventurers that Verne has created so well.
